SARAH PATEL, MD

Sarah N. Patel, MD is an accomplished fellowship trained sleep medicine physician in Phoenix, AZ. Not only does she serve as the medical director but also is the practice founder of Sonoran Sleep Center. As founder of Sonoran Sleep Center, she is dedicated to creating a center that provides comprehensive care for sleep disorders. Dr. Patel’s recognition as a Top Doctor by Phoenix Magazine for four consecutive years (2021-2024) speaks to her expertise and dedication to her patients.

 

Dr. Patel’s focus is on helping patients with complex sleep disorders. This includes conditions like sleep apnea, insomnia, or narcolepsy. These disorders can significantly impact a person’s quality of life and overall health. Dr. Patel and the center is involved in closely monitoring and troubleshooting CPAP therapy for patients who suffer from sleep apnea. This includes reviewing data and reports generated by CPAP machines, assessing the effectiveness of therapy, and addressing any issues or concerns that patients may have. By providing detailed reporting and feedback, Dr. Patel aims to optimize the therapy for each patient, ensuring that they receive the maximum benefit from their treatment.

 

As the Chair of the Early Career Physician’s Assembly, she is committed to supporting and advocating for early career physicians. She has hosted several virtual and in person networking events in order to bridge the gap between the completion of training and starting a new career. Her role as the Chair she has collaborated with other disciplines such as attorneys to help early career physicians prepare for the new career.

 

Locally, Dr. Patel serves as the Early Career Director of the Arizona Medical Association. In this position she addressed the concerns and interests of early career physicians in Arizona. She contributes to policy discussions, professional development opportunities, and advocacy efforts on behalf of early career physicians.

 

Dr. Patel’s board certifications in Sleep Medicine and Internal Medicine reflect her dedication to staying current with the latest advancements in these fields. Her residency training at the University of Arizona South Campus, in Tucson, AZ and fellowship training at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA have equipped her with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide comprehensive care to patients with sleep disorders.
